Fresh from recent college orienteering successes, Jake McLellan put away the "long" course at Wainui Trail Park tonight. He was 4min ahead of seasoned veteran Bill Edwards.
NZ juniors posted some outstanding results in the all-Australia Sprint and Long over the weekend, culminating in Relay wins today in both the W and M14, the W and M16, and second in the W and M20E.
For the inter-state contest, our NZSS Team has been divided into "NZ Karahiwi" (OHV's three members) and "NZ Harua". After Monday's Sprint, Karahiwi was in the lead ahead of "NZ Harua" and then NSW.
Mixed teams dominated the 90-minute rogaine on Rangituhi last Wednesday, filling the top 14 placings. And mixed also took the top three placings in the 3-hour category, with only 10 points separating them.
