Come along to 2025's events including the College Sport Wellington Series

Begin with the CSW Sprint Series starting Wednesday 12th February then the CSW Orienteering Series on Sundays through until June.

CSW Sprint Series

Sprint distance (shorter, urban) series

A good chance for new orienteers to have a go in an urban environment — with some trickier courses to challenge the more experienced orienteers. School students and general public are all welcome. See our Getting Started guide for new orienteers.

Wednesdays starting 6 – 7pm:

12th February - Sprint 1 & Introductory Event - Whitireia Campus, Porirua

19th February - Sprint 2 - St Pat's Silverstream, Upper Hutt

26th February - Sprint 3 - Wellington East Girls' College

5th March - Sprint 4 - Hutt Rec & Lower Hutt CBD

12th March - Sprint 5 - Wellington Botanic Gardens

19th March - Sprint 6 - Taita Cemetery, Naenae, Lower Hutt

CSW Orienteering Series

Traditional foot orienteering events held in urban bush & regional parks around the greater Wellington region

An opportunity for students (and adults) new to orienteering to experience non-urban events and learn how to orienteer while still challenging experienced orienteers. The series begins with a “Have a Go” event followed by six events making up the CSW competition

Sundays starting 11am – 1pm:

16th March - CSW "Have a Go" event - Tikara farmland, Churton Park

23rd March - CSW1 & public event - Belmont Domain & Pareraho Forest (Speedy's Reserve)

30th March - CSW2 & public event - Karori Park, Wellington

11th May - CSW3 & public event - Belmont Regional Park

25th May - CSW4 & public event - Baring Head, East Harbour Regional Park

8th June - CSW5 & public event - TBC

29th June - CSW6 & public event - TBC
