In their first 24hr rogaine, Welly rogainers Arran Whiteford and Hamish Laing placed 3rd overall in the Australasian Rogaining Champs over the weekend. They were one of only 3 teams to score over 4000 out of the possible 5000 points, in hot windy conditions near Tekapo. Placing 4th in category were Angus Watson and Grace Seely (Open Mixed) and Simon Rea/Michael Wood/Dick Dinsdale in Mens Ultra Vets (65+). Watson and Seely were 13th overall. Nicola Mitchell with a Chch partner was 5th in Women Vets (45+) while Leon Perrie and Lara Shepherd were 6th in Mixed Vets.
