Bendigo-based Ted van Geldermalsen was our most successful competitor in the Kings Birthday events held in the long weekend in Golden Bay. After visiting his 90+ father who lives in Nelson. Ted posted a 2nd and two firsts in an unusually large M70 field. Gavin Scott went 1-2-2 in a smaller M80 while Jake McLellan scored two seconds in the competitive M20E. The event was a trial for the NZ Secondary School Team to race in Australia in Octobe; Jake will make the team but Morag and Jonathan Green may be on the cusp of selection.
