School Team Clears the Course

Published Wed 17 Jul 2024

Just back from JWOC, OHV's Jake McLellan with Max Doherty (Onslow College) cleared the course with 9 minutes to spare in today's Secondary Schools Rogaine Champs at Wainuiomata. Their score of 1780 was 400 clear of the next team on the difficult course mostly in native bush and on tracks made extremely slippery by recent rain. No surprise that this won them the Senior Boys Championship. The orienteering part of the SS Champs runs Friday-Sunday.

The rogaine course was repeated after dark as the July Afterwork Rogaine. Highest score came from the usual suspects Stephen Molineux and Hamish Laing, on 1490. Which makes Jake's score even more impressive! With electronic scoring, results can appear in graphic form at rogaine-results.com. They are also listed on www.ohv.org.nz/rogaining/rogaining-results
