Huge Rogaine at Tunnel Gully - Final Results Up

Published Sun 11 Dec 2022

Darryn Gordon set a HUGE rogaine today, including 860m Mt Climie and extending north to the rail trail and south to Mangaroa Valley. In spite of a 20-minute lateness, winner of the 6-hour section was Team De Rare Doedelzak, consisting of Bernard Campion and last-minute ring-in Hamish Laing, with a score of 1220 (Edit - 1120.) Two teams over 1000, More Hills More Fun (1100) and Butter Chicken Legs (1000). Most 3-hour teams found enough controls closer to Tunnel Gully. That was won by Danger Children (Sarah Gray Will Vale Simon Robinson and Lachlan McKenzie) with 570, 10 points ahead of Triple H. 230 competitors enjoyed perfect conditions. Results have now been checked, and finals posted on bigtrig.ohv.org.nz.
