A great start to the NZ Secondary School Champs today Thursday with Jake McLellan winning Intermediate Boys Sprint by 44 seconds, and Nicholas Green second in Senior Boys by only 14 seconds. Jonathan Green was 7th IB and Morag McLellan 17th IG. Tomorrow there's a Long Distance and on Saturday a Relay. Results are here and on Winsplits.

Update Friday: Jake and Jonathan went 3-5 in the Long distance; Nicholas was 8th in SB, and Morag 9th in IG. Solid results especially as the senior fields contained runners just back from JWOC. Results here. Tomorrow there's a Relay; HVHS doesn't have enough runners but Jake and Morag plus Ali Power can make up an Onslow team in IB. Update Sat: Jake posted the fastest individual time!
