A lucky fine day on the Belmont hills and 166 orienteers searched for controls among the WW2 bunkers and onlooking sheep and cows. Sophie Waters topped a strong senior girls grade with Jake McLellan taking the smaller boys field. Georgia Barrett-Dobson and Troy Thompson won the Intermediates, with Callum Cross and Lainey Thompson heading the juniors. All but the last are OHV members. A number of older orienteers ran around too; but Simon Faulkner was the only one to beat Sophie's time on Red2, and Hamish Laing was 3min behind Jake on Red1.
