Rain and high winds deterred some of the teams entered in yesterday's Big Trig. But the 72 teams that took the start at Whareroa Farm finished by lazing on the grass in warm sunshine. Top of the 6hr category which reached into the Akatarawa bush was Worms Adrift, consisting of Richard Procter and Stephen Molineux. No surprise, they won the last two afterwork events. Billy Rodenburg and Jesse Watt were next, followed by Angus Watson and Grace Seeley. In the 3hr which could be done entirely in Whareroa was Chilli Con Carnage - Arran Whiteford Joane Elleout and Mitchell Currie.
