A rare fine day up among the Belmont bunkers and 160 took part in the second round of the CSW Classic series today. While the senior fields are a bit thin (and we know them from the past) the intermediates are gaining more runners, with Ruby McGregor and Cameron Johns (both HVHS) getting some worthwhile competition. And the same for the juniors who are Year 9 and some are just learning the sport. Sorcha Harmer (Aotea) and Dominic Holden (Newlands) have a head start with orienteering parents but can expect pressure from eg Ethan Gould and Amelie Black (HVHS). Great to see new parents also figuring in the non-student results, which are at www.ohv.org.nz/results/
