Event Fees

Event fees cover the costs of running the event and printing the maps and are the source of most of the club's income. In most cases fees are less if you are a member of an orienteering club (join OHV here).

Fees for Orienteering Hutt Valley's standard foot orienteering events are below (hire of SI card is additional):

Notes:

^ Juniors are aged 20 or under as at 31st December.
` OHV Junior members are free at OHV-run orienteering events. Fee (below) still applies for hire of timing device.
* Includes a maximum of two Adults per Family group. Additional Adults at normal pricing.
"Members" includes all orienteering clubs in the world (this is generally reciprocal) AND includes school students in CSW events
Adults essentially chaperoning young participants around the course are not charged
Major events (e.g. NZ Champs, Regional Champs, King's Birthday, Labour Weekend) have particular budgets and event fees are set for these on a case by case basis
U-Max events are usually no cost if you printed a map yourself, otherwise $2 per map. Refer to the details of each specific event.
